If you were to ask your local @guru: What is the secret to everlasting life? And s/he/it gravitated back to Earth for a moment to tell you - "follow me on Twitter and all shall be revealed” - what, would be your response?
I ask because, 9 out of 10 cat owners - according to latest scientific research - state that there is more than a single answer to the questions we seek. That lifes great philosophical and religious conundrums can't be reduced to 140 characters, and that by adopting an esoteric name or wearing white flowing robes no more conveys wisdom that does a can of Baked Beans or Pot Noodle convey nourishment.
Because if there is one thing we can all agree on, its that we cant all agree. And thats ok, until of course someone says it isnt - and that we should all walk the one true path. Yet, the one true path, like the upcoming revolution, is in the individual spirit, or it is nowhere.
Walking the one true path
For history has shown that evolution arises from a series of accidental collisions, philosophical stumbles, rather than pursuing to the letter the words of dedicated theorists and that adaptability, a subtle smile or an open heart can inspire far more than a rigid frown, a rigid phrase or the rigid cover of a dusty tome.
And, as for that secret about everlasting life, is there ever really any secrets to anything?. Alan Watts:
«For the perfect accomplishment of any art, you must get this feeling of the eternal present into your bones — for it is the secret of proper timing. No rush. No dawdle. Just the sense of flowing with the course of events in the same way that you dance to music, neither trying to outpace it nor lagging behind. Hurrying and delaying are like ways of trying to resist the present.»
Dont resist the present. Open to it, embrace it, Expand the moment. Discover that immortality is not an elixir or spell, its just a change of mind. The revolution is in the individual spirit, or it is nowhere.
